Ingredients

  • 1 pack of chocolate sandwich cookies/Oreos
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 16 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp shortening

Instructions

  1. Place the oreos/sandwich cookies in a gallon-sized plastic bag. Seal the bag and crush the cookies using a meat hammer or the end of a large spoon.
  2. Combine the crushed cookies with the softened cream cheese with a spatula in a medium sized mixing bowl.
  3. Place the mixture in the fridge for 2 hours or in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  4. Line a metal baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Remove the cookie mixture from the fridge/freezer. Spoon out portions of the mixture and roll into balls.
  6. Heat the chocolate chips in the microwave until melted, about 45-60 seconds. Stir. If the mixture is very thick, add the shortening to liquify it.
  7. Use a spoon and dip the balls into the chocolate mixture.
  8. Refrigerate the balls for at least 20 minutes or until it's time to serve them!
