Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Mix in sugar to create a simple syrup. Add the simple syrup to the pitcher/container you're going to store the lemonade in.
Blend the chopped strawberries and remaining 1 cup of water until liquified.
In the pitcher/container, add in the lemon juice and strawberry mixture, straining the strawberry mixture as you pour it in.
Add 2 cups of ice and refrigerate until cool and it's time to serve!
