Check out this easy meal, perfect for a cozy night in. This Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings Recipe is delicious, adapted from Spend with Pennies!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large onion, diced
  • cans cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (8 pieces)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add onion to 6 qt crock pot and top with chicken breasts.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, parsley, poultry seasoning and pepper. Spread over chicken breasts. Top with chicken broth and cook on high 4 hours.
  3. After 4 hours of cooking time, roll each biscuit thin and flat. Cut into 4 strips. Add biscuit strips on top of the chicken. Replace lid as quickly as possible. Cook for 60-90 minutes. Keep an eye on your biscuits during this time to see when they are finished cooking!
  4. 10 minutes before serving, shred the chicken breasts in the crockpot. Let cook an additional 10 minutes, then serve warm.
